Our philosophy is based on the belief that all children are unique, capable and involved learners who make a valuable contribution to their community.
We believe children have the right to loving relationships, respect, care and education in an environment that is safe and free from discrimination.
We believe that early childhood is a vital stage in human development and lays the foundation for future learning.
We believe young children do learn through their play experiences. We endeavour to meet the needs of children’s natural curiosity by providing opportunities for them to experiment, discover, solve problems and find out about themselves, other people and the world around them.
We believe that each child comes to the Centre with a different set of experiences, knowledge and interests and we seek to build on each child’s home experience and acknowledge the range of diverse lifestyles of all families.
We actively promote and encourage strong partnerships with families as this creates a wonderful sense of belonging that is vital to the learning environment of our children.
Our programs are responsive to this and are tailored to each child’s needs and level of development. These programs reflect the principles and practices of the National Early Years Learning Framework.
We believe in the process of continually improving the care and education we provide at Spring Farm Early Learning Centre so we can provide the highest quality service for our families.
This is done through the on-going process of reflection and review in collaboration with our families and staff.
